Make Life Simple

Hello everyone,

This blog has been a long time coming in my mind over the years, so I am very glad to finally fire it up!  Many people blog for different reasons, so I asked myself why did I want to start one?  At first, I selfishly declared it would be a “one-stop-shop” place to consolidate things just for myself.   It would serve as my personal library of information I’ve gathered over time — all in one place to peruse at any time, when I needed it!  The shy and reserved part of me didn’t want to advertise it because I felt it would appear presumptuous that anyone else would find my topics interesting.  Then I decided that wasn’t for me to presume?  Especially since I love to share information, I concluded that the purpose of this blog would be served if it helped even just one other person besides myself.  And if no one else ever found this blog, at least it would help make my life simpler!

Amidst our VERY busy lives, we all try to be time-efficient.  In the little pockets of free time we carve out, we attempt to read self-help books, magazines, or the endless array of internet articles in hopes of finding a few tips to help us along in our hectic life.  Of course, we quickly try to scribble the information down on a post-it note, enter it in our smartphones, our Franklin Covey planners, or on our hands with good old-fashioned ink.  But, alas, we somehow do not have the relevant information at the precise moment we need it.   It seems the more digitally advanced we are with our technological gadgets, the more places we have to search for the information we’ve stored away — much like forgetful squirrels hoarding nuts for the impending winter.  While this blog may look like just another tree for this squirrel to sock away more nuts, it’s at least an organized tree that you can get to with any internet connection!

Of course the information I’m presenting here will be unique to my interests!  Since I am the average busy American working mother of two, wife to one, and friend to many — my interests will focus on household & family tips, parenting tools & tricks, travel, photography, scrapbooking, cooking, health, beauty, useful websites & apps, and technology for families, to name a few topics.  In a nutshell, as the title of my blog advertises — I will attempt to feature any information I find to help MAKE LIFE SIMPLE!  Use what appeals to you and discard the rest?  Peruse the site menu in the right column or click here to go directly to the blog posts.  I’d love to hear of any information you have to share back as well.
